Frequently asked questions
What should I know about Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge?
Ba Na Hills sits at about 1,400 m, so it is cooler than Da Nang (often 15 to 20°C) and can be misty. You reach it by cable car. Weekends and Vietnamese holidays are busy, so the guide plans the day to visit the Golden Bridge early. Bring a light jacket.
What is the Hoi An Memories Show?
It is a large outdoor evening show on the riverside near Hoi An, with hundreds of performers telling the story of the old trading port. It lasts about one hour. Bring a light raincoat in the rainy season.
What is My Son Sanctuary?
My Son is a UNESCO World Heritage site of Hindu temple ruins built by the Champa kingdom between the 4th and 13th centuries, about one hour from Hoi An. It is hot in the middle of the day, so wear a hat and comfortable shoes and bring water.
Is there a dress code in Hue?
At the Imperial City, royal tombs and pagodas, please cover your shoulders and knees. Comfortable walking shoes help, as the Imperial City is large.
What is the Hai Van Pass?
Hai Van Pass is the mountain road between Da Nang and Hue, with views over the sea and Lang Co Bay. The drive includes photo stops at the top of the pass when the weather is clear.
When is the best time to do this trip?
Central Vietnam (Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue) is best from February to August, when it is mostly dry and sunny. October to December is the rainy season, with a risk of floods and storms.
Is this a private tour?
The package price includes a private vehicle for groups of 8 or more travellers. Smaller groups can ask for a private tour and private vehicle at a separate price. Your booking confirmation lists the transport for each day.
Are flights included?
No. This is a land package, so international and domestic flights are not included. The tour starts at Da Nang International Airport (DAD), where it also ends. Send us your flight times after booking so we can arrange your airport pick-up. If you need help booking flights, please contact us and our team will support you.
Do I need a visa for Vietnam?
Malaysian and Singaporean passport holders can visit Vietnam visa-free for up to 30 days. Travellers from the United States, Canada and most other countries need an e-visa, which you apply for online on the official Vietnam e-visa portal before you travel. Entry rules can change, so check the latest rules for your passport.
How much do children pay?
Children aged 5 to 11 and 3 to 4 have lower prices when they travel with 2 or more adults. Choose the child option on this page to see the price. Infants aged 0 to 2 travel free. Children from 12 years pay the adult price.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation is free 35 days or more before arrival, except payment fees and paid deposits for issuing flight tickets. The fee is 25% from 35 to 20 days before arrival, 50% from 20 to 10 days, and 100% less than 10 days before arrival. See our terms of service for the full policy.
Will the guide take us to shopping stops, and do we have to tip?
We never take guests to commission shops. When the itinerary has free time for shopping, we suggest reputable places such as local markets and shopping malls. Tips are optional for groups of fewer than 10 travellers.
Can you arrange halal meals?
Yes. Halal meals can be arranged on request for private tours. Please tell us when you book.
